The suit (I)

The suit (I) continues from the same starting point as The machine, the brush: a map of my alopecia areata hair loss pattern, translated into punch card perforations, which is the system developed for the Jacquard loom to automate decorative weaving and knitting.

Here, those patterns are laser cut into the panels of the suit, placing the hair loss pattern back onto an enlarged fictive body. The loss that was abstracted and automated is worn again, and redistributed across the body as both armour and garment.
